Espresso Balsamic Vinegar
Our Espresso Balsamic Vinegar is the perfect marriage of rich espresso and dark roast coffee with sweet/tart aged dark balsamic vinegar.
It’s remarkably smooth, making it a great addition to both sweet and savory dishes.
We just love the way the coffee infusion in this balsamic vinegar makes meat taste “meatier.”
This is why our Espresso Balsamic Vinegar is perfect as a marinade or glaze for beef, pork, duck, veal, and lamb. Try this marinade recipe using Espresso Balsamic Vinegar along with Rosemary, Garlic, Tuscan Herb, Blood Orange, or Chipotle olive oils.
Of course our Espresso Balsamic Vinegar makes an amazing vinaigrette when paired with Persian Lime, Wild Dill, Basil or Herbes de Provence Olive Oils, or any of our single varietal extra virgin olive oils. We love it over spinach with chopped nuts, fresh berries, and crumbled goat cheese.
It's also a natural complement to all sorts of cheese, whether it's a funky blue, sweet goat cheese, salty Parmesan, or creamy brie. Drizzle it right on the cheese and serve with crackers, or reduce it first to get a syrupy, sweeter version of itself.
If you have more of a sweet tooth, try using Espresso Balsamic Vinegar as more of a coffee-flavored syrup. If you reduce it by half, you’ll lose some of the vinegary bite (but it’s not necessary).
Pour a bit over ice cream (served in latte cups for a spin on an affogato), Greek yogurt, pound cake, sliced fruit or whole berries, or cheesecake. You can add a tablespoon to your brownie mix, chocolate frosting, or even whipped cream in place of vanilla.
