Our Cilantro and Roasted Onion Infused Olive Oil is a unique blend of sweet roasted cipollini onions and herbaceous cilantro.
It adds a hint of Southwestern, Latin, or Southeast Asian flair to your recipes, and is delicious in spicy dishes.
We love to pair this olive oil with white balsamic vinegars for marinades for fish, shrimp, beef, pork or chicken. Try it with our Jalapeno, Sicilian Lemon, Golden Pineapple, Oregano, or Premium White Balsamic Vinegar. For vinaigrettes, our specialty vinegars (Serrano Honey Vinegar, Red Wine Vinegar, or Champagne Vinegar) are fantastic But start off with a smaller amount of vinegar than you would if using a balsamic vinegar, as these are more acidic. We also like to blend Cilantro and Roasted Onion Olive Oil with other flavored oils to add depth, such as Chipotle, Persian Lime, or Garlic Olive Oil.
How do you use this earthy flavor? We love it with eggs (especially scrambled with some mushrooms and a dash of hot sauce), adding it to our rice and beans, and drizzling it over squash or corn-based soups. It’s delicious with roasted or grilled vegetables such as corn, potatoes, summer squash, sweet potatoes and butternut squash. We even add a touch to our guacamole sometimes!
