Milanese Gremolata Infused Olive Oil
Gremolata is a traditional Italian herb condiment consisting of fresh lemon zest, minced garlic, Italian flat leaf parsley and a hint of mint.
The herbs and citrus zest are crushed together in a mortar to release their aromatic oils. Our Milanese Gremolata Infused Olive Oil subtly combines these flavors into a complex, versatile oil.
Gremolata Oil pairs beautifully with bright vinegars that complement the flavors already in the oil. We love it with Sicilian Lemon White Balsamic Vinegar, Serrano Honey Vinegar, Premium White Balsamic Vinegar, Jalapeno White Balsamic Vinegar, Traditional Balsamic Vinegar, Pinot Noir Wine Vinegar, or Organic Red Wine Vinegar.
Since it has a milder flavor and can be overwhelmed by acidic vinegar, be sure to start vinaigrettes with the classic ratio of three parts oil to one part vinegar. You can boost the amount of vinegar for a marinade, however, starting at two parts oil to one part vinegar. It’s a fantastic marinade for lamb, chicken, pork, and fish (especially dense white fish like swordfish or mahi mahi). It’s also a great oil to use on roasted potatoes, fennel, or cauliflower. Use it as a finishing oil on steamed carrots or green beans. And it's absolutely perfect for roasting asparagus!
The bright flavors of Milanese Gremolata Infused Olive Oil are perfect for summer dishes, like Gremolata and Caper Potato Salad, Alice’s Potato Salad with Green Beans, Garlic Pasta Salad, and Olive Oil Roasted Eggplant with Lemon.
