Grilled Salmon Steaks with Balsamic Mustard Marinade

Cooking Time: 8-10 Min    Servings: 4

A glaze featuring our Fig balsamic vinegar, Cajun seasoning, Dijon mustard and fresh herbs makes for extraordinary grilled salmon fillets.



  1. Preheat a charcoal or gas grill.

  2. Sprinkle salmon with salt and pepper on both sides.

  3. Put oil in a flat dish, add mustard, Cajun seasoning, pepper flakes, lemon juice and balsamic vinegar.

  4. Blend well with a wire whisk. 

  5. Place the salmon in the marinade and coat well on both sides.

  6. Cover with plastic wrap and let it stand in a cool place for 1 hour.

  7. Let stand at room temp 15 min before grilling

  8. Remove salmon from the marinade. 

  9. Rub the rack lightly with oil then place salmon on hot grill. 

  10. Cook 3 minutes and turn a quarter turn.

  11. Cook 2 more minutes. 

  12. Carefully flip salmon and cook 3- 5 minute longer depending on thickness of salmon.

  13. Remove to serving platter

  14. Sprinkle with parsley or basil and serve. (4 servings)
