Butter Olive Oil is one of the most unique products that we carry. It is a dairy-free, all-natural, healthier alternative to butter.
It has the same rich, sweet taste, but with the heart-healthy benefits of olive oil. Our vegan and dairy-free customers can’t get enough of this flavor! However, people with soy allergies should not consume this product.
Use Butter Olive Oil anywhere you would use butter. Brush it on the bread when making grilled cheese sandwiches, cook eggs in it, drizzle it on your popcorn, add it to your mashed potatoes, or use it in place of butter when baking (3 parts oil for 4 parts butter).
Butter All-Natural Flavored Olive Oil also makes a great component in marinades or glazes for roasted or grilled fish, meat, and vegetables. If pairing it with a vinegar, start with 1 part vinegar to 2 parts oil and increase the oil based on your preference (and the acidity of the vinegar). It’s a delicate, subtle oil so you may need to increase the ratio to as high as 1 part vinegar to 4 parts oil. The most versatile pairings are our Sicilian Lemon White Balsamic Vinegar, Honey Vinegar, and Champagne Wine Vinegar. Any of these combinations are fantastic on fish, shrimp, and chicken. Add your favorite herbs, garlic, onions, salt and pepper to pack extra flavor into the dish.
Try the combination of Butter Olive oil and Coconut White Balsamic Vinegar for grilled or sautéed shrimp. Top with cilantro and a squeeze of lime, then serve over rice to instantly transport yourself to tropical paradise.
If you’re excited about fall, though we love to roast root vegetables and sweet potatoes in Butter Olive Oil and finish them with a drizzle of Cranberry Pear, Blackberry Ginger, Pomegranate, Fig, or Cinnamon Pear balsamic vinegars. And one of our owners will only eat roasted Brussels sprouts with Violet Balsamic Vinegar (but we think they’re great with Traditional Balsamic as well)!
We have some fantastic recipes using Butter All-Natural Olive Oil on our website. Just in time for the upcoming holidays, check out our Olive Oil Cornbread, Glazed Ham, Cinnamon-Pear Balsamic Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Sarah’s Apple Snack Cake, and Pumpkin Oatmeal Scones.
