Did you know that extra virgin olive oil can help prevent Alzheimer's disease?
A recent study at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University found that extra virgin olive oil preserves memory and protects the brain against Alzheimer's disease.
Researchers found, "the consumption of extra virgin olive oil protects memory and learning ability and reduces the formation of amyloid–beta plaques and neurofibrillary tangles in the brain – classic markers of Alzheimer's disease."
This is just another victory confirming the clinical health benefits of incorporating ultra premium, fresh pressed extra virgin olive oil into a healthy diet.
We know the natural anti-inflammatory property of olive oil, when used long term, does have many positive effects on the body. It is not surprising that long term use could be one more piece in the puzzle of needed products to help slow the inflammatory processes associated with Alzheimer's and other dementias.
