Versatility in the Kitchen with The Olive Scene

Everyone has their go-to flavor of The Olive Scene oils and vinegars. But there are so many instances where simply swapping your favorite flavor for something new can change the entire direction of a dish!

In addition to their incredible health benefits and amazing taste, our oils and vinegars are also incredibly versatile.  This makes them endlessly fun to cook with.  Our 60 ml size is perfect for experimenting with new flavors without committing to an entire bottle, and our Taste of The Olive Scene gift set is a perfect introduction to this concept for someone who is new to The Olive Scene.

For example, if you love pan-frying pork chops in our Wild Rosemary Olive Oil, try another one of our herb-based oils instead. Tuscan Herb Infused Olive Oil adds tons of Italian flavor, and you can easily turn the dish into a meal by adding a caprese salad.  Use our Milanese Gremolata Infused Olive Oil and serve over creamy Parmesan polenta.

If roasted chicken with Tuscan Herb Infused Olive Oil is your favorite, swap in one of our spicy oils for an extra kick.  Substitute Harissa Infused Olive Oil and serve on a bed of cous cous.  Chipotle Infused Olive Oil adds a subtle, smoky heat, and a side of your favorite beans drizzled with Garlic Infused Olive Oil and squeeze of lime will complement the chicken perfectly.

Mashed potatoes are a blank canvas for many of our oils!  Try Basil Infused Olive Oil for a light, summer version.  A small drizzle of White Truffle Olive Oil instantly adds a gourmet twist (add a little Parmesan cheese, while you're at it!).  Garlic Infused Olive Oil is a classic take that works with American comfort food or Italian-inspired dishes.

Roasted or grilled vegetables take on different personalities with different oils and vinegars.  We love any of our citrus-based flavors paired with an herb-based flavor, such as Persian Lime Infused Olive Oil & Oregano Premium White Balsamic or Wild Rosemary Olive Oil & Sicilian Lemon Premium White Balsamic.

Pasta, salad dressings, and baked goods are just a few other examples of dishes that can be easily changed by simply substituting one oil or vinegar for another.  Here are a few groupings of flavors that can easily be substituted for each other in recipes (although they're just the tip of the iceberg!):
