Our Grapefruit White Balsamic Vinegar is a crisp, sweet/tart flavor made with pink grapefruit. As a white balsamic, it's more acidic than its dark balsamic vinegar counterparts. This citrus-packed vinegar pairs beautifully with other citrus flavors, like our Blood Orange, Persian Lime, and Eureka Lemon Olive Oils. Basil Olive Oil is one of our favorite flavors to pair with it, especially for vinaigrettes and seafood marinades. Garlic or Rosemary Olive Oil make for a more robust combination, which is perfect as a marinade for heartier seafood like shrimp and salmon.
Since it's so bright and refreshing, Grapefruit White Balsamic Vinegar is one of our favorite drinking vinegars. We love adding a splash to sparkling water, iced tea, hot tea, and cocktails.
It's a lovely, light vinaigrette for salads with toasted nuts, fresh or dried fruit, and a touch of salty cheese. Try our Citrus Vinaigrette recipe (above) with baby spinach, citrus segments, pomegranate arils, fresh berries, toasted almonds, and crumbled fresh goat cheese.
Winter fruit salads are an unexpected way to add fresh fruit to a dreary winter diet. Instead of adding sugar, use Grapefruit White Balsamic Vinegar to sweeten a fruit salad.
Marinade salmon, swordfish, or shrimp in 1 part Grapefruit White Balsamic Vinegar, 1 part Garlic Olive Oil, and 1 part Rosemary Olive Oil (with salt and pepper added to taste. Sauté, roast, or grill the seafood and serve with your favorite sides (wilted spinach, roasted asparagus, rice, or farro are our top picks).
We also love to toss roasted sweet potato or spiralized sweet potatoes with Grapefruit White Balsamic Vinegar after pulling them out of the oven. It makes a great dressing for a shaved fennel salad (we love shaved fennel with blood orange segments, thinly sliced red onion, and parmesan shavings!).
