Olive Oil Cornbread

Products needed:

Butter-All Natural Infused Olive Oil

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 c flour
  • 1 c corn meal
  • 2/3 c granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 1/3 c milk
  • 4 tablespoons The Olive Scene Butter Infused Olive Oil
  • 1 egg

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven 350*F.
  2. Combine dry ingredients well.
  3. Beat together milk, eggs, then butter.
  4. Add liquid ingredients to dry and stir gently, breaking up large lumps. **Do not overbeat
  5. Put in greased 8x8” pan.
  6. Bake 55 minutes until golden.
  7. Remove from oven and brush with butter olive oil (optional).
  8. Allow to cool.

Variation: 

  1. Fill 12 greased muffin pans.
  2. Bake 350* 45 min until golden.
  3. Remove immediately from pans to cool.
